When first setting out in property, Paul sold houses in south London. On one occasion a young actress, Jenny Agutter, called at his office looking for a home. On another occasion he remembered a 'Mr Shekoohideh' from the Middle East who visited his offices, searching for a property. Paul started a 'black book' of contacts and, in fact, sold Mr Shekoohideh six houses! Many of these contacts are personal connections, whilst others are members of a diverse range of professional groups ranging form the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors to the British Entertainment & Cinematograph Union.
